Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, from a mound in base a cloud Proper, thereon a mullet of sixteen points Or. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "ONE ROUND" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
The star is used to represent the explosion of a shell; the cloud of dust representing the result of the explosion. The motto is retained in the English version, as it was used in the original approval letter, for historical purposes.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion on 9 July 1942. It was redesignated for the 330th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron on 9 February 1948. IT was redesignated for the 705th Tank Battalion on 25 July 1952. The insignia was redesignated for the 75th Cavalry Regiment with the description updated on 18 October 2004.

Symbolism

Shield

The star is used to represent the explosion of a shell; the cloud of dust representing the result of the explosion.

Crest

The regiment's campaign participation and decorations awarded during World War II are symbolized by the fleur-de-lis. Unit readiness and cavalry traditions of service in war and peace are recalled by the swords: the bugle denotes the regiment's call to arms and its heritage and national history. Celeste blue represents service overseas; gold denotes excellence.

Background
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion on 9 July 1942. It was redesignated for the 330th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron on 9 February 1948. It was redesignated for the 705th Tank Battalion and amended by the addition of the Organized Reserve Corps crest on 25 July 1952. The coat of arms was redesignated for the 75th Cavalry Regiment and amended to delete the crest of the Organized Reserve Corps and add a crest on 25 March 2008.
